Rough Shooting

Highland Sporting’s rough shooting offers a relaxed and traditional day in the Scottish countryside, combining walked up sport with small, informal mini driven opportunities across the estate.

 

Designed for smaller parties, typically 4–10 Guns, these days focus on variety, enjoyment and camaraderie rather than formality.

With an average of around 10 head per gun, the emphasis is on making the most of seasonal opportunities while experiencing the landscape at a steady pace. A reasonable level of fitness is recommended, though transport can be arranged where required.

Fully bespoke and less structured than formal driven days, rough shooting provides an authentic and memorable sporting experience, ideal for those who appreciate traditional field sport in a more intimate setting.
